LETTERS TO JULIET

 
              Last time, I posted about fantasy movie- The Snow White & the Huntsman.
      Now, it's a time for a romantic movie !!!

                                                                               ROMEO&JULIET<<

   

       Romeo fell in LOVE with Juliet, but he are not admitted by Juliet's family.  So, they need to meet secretly until one day truth is revealed. Juliet killed herself and then Romeo did too.

Actually, Letters to Juliet is one of romantic movie that I have watched many times.The story is happened  in a famous and well-known romantic movie whichI know that It is the same place where Romeo and Juliet first meet. Beginning with Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) travels Verona in Italy and meets a group of woman who give an advice to women called Juliet. Many women write the letter to Juliet asking for help about some love problems.

    Sophie is the lucky one finding an old letter that the messages is inspires her to reply
back to Claire(Vanessa Redgrave). That is the beginning of Romeo's seeking and doing her article inthe same time.
    Will Sophie find  Claire's Romeo? Does she meet her Romeo? Is the story happy ending?

   After I have watched for the first time, I really impress with an actress, Amanda Seyfried.
She is so stunning and have very very beautiful eyes.  So, I think that the Juliet role is perfectly suitable for her. Next, the scenes is so amazing- nice antique building, nice scenery, and big vineyard with charming prince. The last, the music is Love Story song by Taylor Swift. I really love this song as Taylor Swift is an idol of mind.The lyrics of this song is also about Romeo and Juliet like composing for this story.

Spicy and Sweet....

Kang Keaw Wan

The next recipe that I would like to show you is Kang Keaw Wan.  Our Thai dish which is famous in Thailand. The name of  this food means curry which has sweet taste with green color, but it is not sweet like its name at all (it is spicy). There are various kinds of  food that can eat with Kang Keaw Wan such as spaghetti , Pizza, Fried rice, etc. Especially Roti my favorite one :)

  

This is my father's recipe which I think it is very tasty and easy to cook. So, I want to share this recipe to all of you.  I think it is very good idea that added some vegetables such as string beans, pumpkins, and carrots because they makes Kang Keaw Wan colorful and delicious.  I think these vegetables gave more textures when you eating it with warm rice.  So, if you want to try some, or (you love to eat vegetables like me ) you just following my blog and do it at your home.

 The Recipe :D

1. 300 g Sliced Chicken breast fillets or any kind of meat sea food, beef, pork,etc.
2. 3 Cup coconut milk
3. 50 g Picked pea eggplant
4. 3-4 green eggplants (cut it into quarter )
5. ½ cup Hand picked basil leaves
6. 1 slice of pumpkin  (cut it into square shape just like in the picture )
7. 2-3  string beans (Cut it into pieces just like in the picture.)

(for quick and easy way should use an instant curry paste)

Ingredients for green curry paste

200-300 g Instant green curry paste

3 Finely sliced lemongrass

3 Finely sliced fingerroot

5-6 Sliced galangaes

7-9 Chili

3-4 Basil flower

Seasoning

2 Tbp.  sugar

2-3 Tbp. fish sauce

Let's cooking :)

1. Heat up the pan in a medium heat and pour coconut milk.  Then add curry paste in the pan stir for 2 minutes and wait it until the coconut float up during boiling.
2.  Add the sliced chicken breast and stir it well until it done.
3. When the curry is boiling, add green eggplants, string beans, some picked pea eggplant, and pumpkin. Then stir them softly until everything cooked and tender.
4. Seasoning with sugar and fish sauce. Add 3 sliced of red chilli and some basil.
5. Turn the heat off and serve it hot with warm rice, Roti, and rice noodle.

Tips and Tricks

1. If you want to eat it more delicious, you have to  squeeze coconut milk by yourself. It is very important that the coconut must be fresh, but if you do not mind or you can not find any coconut.  You can use pasteurized coconut milk.
2. When you cut green eggplant into quarter, you should put them in a bowl of water to avoid they change color.
3. When you boil pumpkin  do not stir it often.  (If you don't want to eat pumpkin soup) :P
4. If you want to decorate this food you can cut the pumpkin into star shapes to make your  curry more beautiful. :)

In short, I think this curry is OK for everyone, but if you concern about your shape and have a health problem  (heart disease, high blood pressure, etc. ), you should not eat it too much and should do some exercises because this curry contains a lot of calories. Anyway, if you are not worried about anything, go ahead and enjoy it. :D

 The Darkness of an Era

 Fall-Winter collection of 2012

 

Did you throw away your staff from last fall-winter? Well, let’s see if some item can be used in this coming fall-winter. This year, many fashion brands came up with something dark or deep color to warm the cold season up. NOT only clothes but the make up trend also.

 

               
Let’s start with Christian Dior, as you can see the tone of red-black is hitting the runway of both in Milan and New York fashion weeks in this year. The combination of red and black of their collection is very stunning. The main detail of collection is focusing on the color more than those tiny accessories.

Next, Hermes, Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana came up with the similar looks of woman in 2012 which men can share their wardrobe to girlfriend or even their mother! That’s a one of best choice for one who doesn’t want to wear a heavy make up in a falling snow. The casual hair style is one of the great thing of the collection and also don't forget to grab pairs of leather shoe!

  


  Moreover, Tommy-Hifiger  is one of those brands that proposed men style in woman’s collection so, let’s melts the snow with these hot collections of season. 

 

Other neutral colors like navy, brown, cream, dark purple or even eggplant color can be used or combined to each other for these seasons. Let’s take a look at these brands; Marc by Marc Jacobs, Viktor&Rolf, Louis Vuitton, Moschino, St’John and Roland Mouret. You can see the neutral color from their collections. Floral prints or pastel colors are no longer appeared.

 

Bags and Accessories

Again after we have thrown our accessories to the back yard for floral prints last season, they have to stay there. It would be hard to carry or wear those things in the falling of snow. You can make it a lot easier and more fashion by picking up some fabulous deep color over coat. Although you are one of accessory addicted people, try to play on something else like those deep dark color lipsticks. They blowed my mind up once! Last month, I saw it from magazines and I really wanted it but didn’t know how to dress with a very dark lip. Now it’s time to arrest them!

 

I don’t know anyone who hasn’t has black or red dress or cloths. Even they do not like the put it on but these color are everyday color. I love red and black and I think it’s easy to wear these colors. Let’s see if you have a total black dress, you can tie your hair like a ponytails with a red ribbon which I suggest everyone to do and it will of give a look of a shy and naughty girl in the same time. Try it!!

Thai Pork Larb with Mama Noodles::

My first menu is Thai food called Larb which is very popular in Thailand.  Larb is a northeastern food that usually comes with his friends (papaya salad, sticky rice and grilled chicken) it can be cooking with various kinds of meat such as beef, chicken, fish etc. I chose this menu to show you how to do it because it is very tasty and very easy to cook for everyone.  But this time I will eat with Mama (instant noodle) believe me it really get a long well together. So, if you want to try it, you should do it.  It is really delicious. Believe me

Here is a recipe :)

• 1/4 tablespoon ground dried chili pepper
• 3 tablespoons fish sauce
• 1/2 lbs ground pork
• A half of lime (juice)
• 3-4 thinly sliced shallot
• 1 tablespoon toasted rice powder
• 3 sprigs spearmints
• 2 sliced spring onions
• 2Lettuce leaves
• 1 tea spoon of sugar

 

Let’s cooking Larb!!!!

Heat up your pot pours little of water wait until hot.  Then add ground pork and stir it.  You should be careful when stir it because it will stick your pot a lot, but don’t worry about it.  Keep stirring it until the pork is well done.  Now the pork is ready for seasoning put a little bit of sugar (if you do not like sweet, you can skip this step) because there is sweet taste in the pork.  Add fish sauce, lime juice, ground dried chili pepper, shallot, toasted rice powder (I love it very much, so I add it a lot.) and some spring onions. Then mix it well together and taste it.  If you want something more, you just add after you want. Don’t forget to add spearmint leaves for the last thing to keep it fresh. Now you can serve your Larb with lettuce, string beans, and cucumbers.

How to cook Mama?

Heat up your pot and pour a lot of water for boiling Mama.  When the boiling water is ready add the noodle.  Waiting for 3-5 minutes when Mama is done.  Then put it on a bowl (if you don’t want it too cook just wash it with the cold water just like when boiling spaghetti.) Now you can put it on your dish and decorate it after you want.

How to garnish your dish?

I put 2 leaves of lettuce in to dish just like a small boat then put Larb on the lettuce. Sprinkle it with a little bit of toasted powder and three little spearmint leaves on the top.  You can serve with your Mama.

Tips and Techniques

If you want your vegetable keep fresh.  You should wash them slice them and keep them in freeze.  So, you can eat them more delicious, and still crunchy.

If you don’t want your mint leaves changes color, you should put it when finish cooks your food.

If you on diet and want more fiber you can use whole-wheat noodle and tuna low fat instead.

           A well-know fairy tale Snow White is turned into a new outstanding version called "Snow White and the Huntsman". The story is quite more serious than original version but still keep the main details. Every scene has many special affects that made me say WOW ! and  I would say this was an excellent performance by Mrs Theron as  she was stupendous in this role. The theme is well directed. And all customs are really nice and so elegant with a wonderful music though the story.

        However, when I finished watching the movie, I was a little disappointed. Because it’s not like I’d expected. It’s kind of like the mixture between the Lord of the Rings and Twilight but base on Snow White story. Besides, it’s barely having a magic but most affects making this movie misses something   that most of fairy tales should have.

       By the way, the good thing for this movie is thinking about the power of beauty and the essential of outer beauty vs. inner-beauty. And the good vs. the evil always bring the win to the good and lose to the evil.

       Overall, Snow White and the Huntsman is a  a good movie, and the special effects were what kept me interested.  I am really glad  I saw this movie. So, anyone who miss this movie , Let's look some part of the story in trailer here!

For centuries, women are compared as flowers. The colors and shapes of both   were created to color the world so, mixing these two things together make the world look more wonderful. Every year, each fashion brand came up with floral print dresses and clothes collections during Spring – Summer. It’s a kind of easy-wearing cloths and it’s also fit for all-day activities. 

 Knowing what’s fit and look good on you are the main idea of fashion, so don’t be afraid to try it on. Although you are worrying to bare your arms, you can cover it with a cardigan or blazer. This is FUN! and easy fabrics or clothes to play with.

The floral prints are the main focus of this style, so make sure you pick the one that fresh you up!

-         - Big and bold floral print with many different colorful colors on dresses is cute to be in cocktail party.  The prints will catch anyone’s attention.

-        -  The tiny and scattered floral print with a soft pastel color on dress is very perfect for everyday-wearing. It give a look of girly and sweetly.

The accessory isn’t necessary for this look. With a floral prints, you don’t need to be so serious about tiny little things else. Moreover this style go very well with any hairstyles ,so it doesn’t matter whether you  let your hair down  to add a little more sweetness look or tie it up like a pony tail  to create a sexy look.

 

I really like the floral collections, so I was not surprise that this style hit the runway again and again. Floral prints collection is running in a fashion cycle.  This year many fashion brands came up with their floral collection but I prefer the small fashion brand much more than high end. I think it’s easier to catch fashion in a lower price of small brands so, you can save money for shoes, bags, and other sort of them. Enjoy shopping ;)
